This post was updated May 9, 2017 to include current information and recommendations.

Spring is in full bloom in Omaha and we’re busy enjoying the luxuries of the season — basking in the sun out on the patio at a local restaurant, taking in gorgeous lake views, strolling through our favorite neighborhoods, revamping our home with bright seasonal colors and grabbing a tasty meal from a local food truck.

Another one of our favorite spring features is the return of farmers’ markets scattered all over the region. In fact, there are so many in the area that one of them is bound to occur on your most convenient day so it fits your schedule perfectly.

If you haven’t noticed, we are huge proponents of being local, and farmers’ markets are one of the most fun ways to support that community — specifically farmers, artisans and small business owners. These markets are also wonderful resources for SNAP participants to get fresh and healthy produce using vouchers!

Be a part of the thriving and exciting farmers’ market community in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area this year!

The Village Pointe Farmers’ Market also strives to educate the community about wholesome food that comes from said farms and its importance to our health. They take this education a step further by actually providing these healthy options at their market!
