From rowdy saloon shows put on by Omaha musicians to classic symphonies and worldwide music tours, we get a little of everything — and we wouldn’t want it any other way!

We found some of the best upcoming shows in the Omaha area to fit every personality. One night, you can dance the night away with your friends; the next, you can take the whole family to a musical! Murder Ballad

Symphonie Fantastique

October 21 & 22 | Holland Performing Arts Center

Pianist Markus Groh, winner of the Queen Elisabeth International Competition, is making his Omaha Symphony debut with Symphonie Fantastique. With conductor Steven White, Markus and the full symphony will go through Wagner’s “The Flying Dutchman Overture,” Liszt’s “Piano Concerto No. 1” and Berlioz’ “Symphonie Fantastique.” Buy tickets in advance here!

 

The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show

October 22, November 5, 12 and 19 | Doubletree Hotel Omaha Downtown

The Dinner Detective is the largest interactive murder mystery comedy dinner show in the nation and one of Omaha’s most popular entertainment destinations. Symphony Spooktacular

October 23 | Holland Performing Arts Center

Omaha Symphony is combining Halloween and Harry Potter in one of the most fun events this season. Inspired by music from the films, the show and event will be filled with wizardry and fun. October 29 | Sokol Park

Join one of the most feel good musical acts in the country for a Halloween concert in Sokol Park. Complete with a costume contest, this is the perfect event for a night out with the family. Featured on our list of local Omaha bands, Kris Lager Band is sure to put a smile on your face and keep you dancing!

 

Mac Miller

October 29 | Sokol Underground

Rapper Mac Miller is coming to one of Omaha’s most popular music venues on Halloween weekend. The Divine Feminine tour is promoting his newest album released earlier this year. In Omaha, Soulection featuring The Whooligan and CLOCKWORKDJ will open so get there early! Buy tickets before they sell out.

October 30 | The Waiting Room

Merging classic bluegrass with a little rock and roll and improvisation, Yonder Mountain String Band has become one of the most popular bands in their genre. Reggae comes to Omaha in November. Don’t miss Dirty Heads, one of the genres’ most popular new artists. Celebrating the release of their self-titled album, Dirty Heads, their tour has taken the band all over the country and the world, but they’ve finally made it to Omaha! A War of Roses: Foreign Flames

November 2 – 5, 9 – 10 | Matinée: November 6, 12 and 13 | UNO Theater

UNO’s second Mainstage production, University of Nebraska students will put on one of Shakespeare’s most interesting plays which tells the story of The War of Roses. In collaboration with Nebraska Shakespeare, this is part one of a two part series. Part two (A War of Roses: A Fire Within) will be put on by Creighton students November 11 – 13 and 17 – 20. Yeasayer

November 3 | The Waiting Room

November 3 | 40th Street Theater

One of our most famous local musicians, we featured Conor Oberst on our top Omaha musicians post. He has recently gained popularity as a solo act after Bright Eyes slowed down. His newest album (released last week!) was inspired by snowy Omaha winters and before his tour takes him to Europe, he’s stopping in his hometown for an intimate show at 40th Street Theater. November 11 | 21st Saloon

Lincoln natives, Josh Hoyer and Soul Colossal will be coming to Omaha on November 11th to play an exciting show at The 21st Saloon. Make sure you wear your dancing shoes because their soulful music will make you get on your feet! And because we know you’ll enjoy the show so much, you can see them the very next night at The Zoo Bar in Lincoln!

November 17 | Ameristar Casino Council Bluffs

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas

November 15 – 20 | Orpheum Theater

Based on the classic Christmas movie of the same name, this musical is coming to Omaha to prepare you for the holiday season.
