Rapper Mac Miller is coming to one of Omaha’s most popular music venues on Halloween weekend. The Divine Feminine tour is promoting his newest album released earlier this year. Merging classic bluegrass with a little rock and roll and improvisation, Yonder Mountain String Band has become one of the most popular bands in their genre. UNO’s second Mainstage production, University of Nebraska students will put on one of Shakespeare’s most interesting plays which tells the story of The War of Roses. In collaboration with Nebraska Shakespeare, this is part one of a two part series. Part two (A War of Roses: A Fire Within) will be put on by Creighton students November 11 – 13 and 17 – 20. One of our most famous local musicians, we featured Conor Oberst on our top Omaha musicians post. He has recently gained popularity as a solo act after Bright Eyes slowed down. His newest album (released last week!) was inspired by snowy Omaha winters and before his tour takes him to Europe, he’s stopping in his hometown for an intimate show at 40th Street Theater.
