It’s the perfect time for everyone — both young and old — to toast the past year and ring in the new. The kids can party with balloon drops and light shows early, while adults dance to live music and drink champagne toasts.

The Nebraska Kart Shootout is wrapping up 2016 with the 6th Annual Indoor Speed-Dash National Championships and a full weekend of racing. Whether you’re racing or watching, you’ll get to experience Cage Karts, various classes, Junior races, adult races and more!

This family-friendly event is a classic New Year’s Eve party — complete with party favors, dancing, bubblewrap stomping and a countdown to the new year. Celebrate early in the evening with a 2,017 balloon drop from two floors above!

Be sure to buy tickets in advance. All proceeds go to the Museum’s Have a Heart program which provides income-qualified families an annual membership to the Lincoln Children’s Museum at a reduced cost.

Let the kids have their own New Year’s Eve party with Camp Sonshine counselors at Lincoln Berean Church. The event is open to all Kindergarteners through 6th graders as well as any past Leaders In Training with the Sonshine program.

This overnight event gives kids a place to experience personal growth, make new friends and overcome challenges. Complete with games and activities, they’ll have an unforgettable night and you can rest assured their New Year’s festivities will be safe!
