Every year, the Omaha area celebrates Easter with all of our favorite activities — Easter Bunny visits, grand egg hunts, handmade crafts, and even petting zoos. This year, the whole region is celebrating with all of that and more!
To ensure your family experiences Easter to the fullest, we outlined details on some of the area’s best holiday events. Mark your calendars for these area events and get ready for an Easter you’ll never forget!

March 25, 1 – 3 p.m. | East Campus Readiness Center | Free
Nebraska National Guard Child and Youth Program is hosting their annual easter egg hunt for kids of all ages. Join them for an early celebration complete with crafts, snacks, activities, an interactive petting zoo, and even a visit from the Easter Bunny himself! The event is completely free, but register online beforehand.
April 6, 10 – 11:30 a.m. | Bess Johnson Elkhorn Branch | Free
Don’t miss this annual library egg hunt! After the 10 a.m. storytime, enjoy a visit with the Easter Bunny, egg hunting and craft time.
April 8, 12 – 1 p.m. | Aksarben Village | Free

Each year, Aksarben Village and Jones Bros. Cupcakes team up to host one of Omaha’s favorite easter egg hunts. For the sixth year, you can expect all the fun, treats and activities from past years plus a few surprises! There will be three separate hunts for different age groups so everyone has a chance at finding eggs. Afterwards, stop by Jones Bros. Cupcakes for extra treats and entertainment!
April 8, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Saddlebrook Branch | Free
Join Saddlebrook Library and Community Center for their annual Easter Egg-stravaganza! The party will kick off with a festive storytime then continue with games, egg hunting, a pom-pom egg craft, gaming in the teen room, and more!
April 8, 10 a.m. | Williams-Sonoma, Regency Court | $30
Williams-Sonoma at Regency Court is celebrating Easter with an American Girl cooking class. Children ages 8 – 13 and their parents will bake delicious cupcakes and then learn how to decorate them! The price of your ticket includes the cupcake set. Call (402) 391-3824 to reserve your spot.
April 8, 2 – 4 p.m. | Omaha Kroc Center | $5 – $7

The Omaha Kroc Center is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza for the whole family! First, kids 10 years and younger can participate in an indoor egg hunt. Then, keep the fun going with an Easter Bunny photo opp, an underwater egg hunt and other holiday activities!
April 9, 1 – 3 p.m. | Bob Campos Soccer Fields | Free
Omaha’s National Latino Peace Officers Association is hosting their annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 9. Search for 20,000 eggs filled with 100,000 prizes and candies — including bikes, footballs and stuffed bunnies! Stick around after the hunt to see a fire truck and helicopter displayed by the Omaha Fire Department and Omaha Police Department.
April 13, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Florence Community Center | Free for kids, $1 for adults
Florence’s Tiny Tot Gym gets an Easter upgrade for this fun event! Children of all ages can color their own Easter eggs and play games around the center.
April 13, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. | A.V. Sorensen Branch | Free
This party is an excellent way to celebrate with preschoolers and toddlers. Everyone can listen to stories, make crafts, play in the Bounce House, meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy plenty of Easter candy!
April 14, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. | Millard Branch | Free
This library Easter party starts with an Easter-themed storytime and ends with an egg hunt. Kids are invited to explore the library in search of eggs and treats.
April 8 – 16 | Bass Pro Shops | Free
Bass Pro Shops is celebrating Easter with their annual free extravaganza. At the Council Bluffs location, you can meet the Easter Bunny and get a professional photo, try your hand at a free craft project and play games all week! Don’t miss the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15 at 2 p.m. Children between the ages of 2 and 10 can search for eggs and candy! Arrive early to register your kids from 1:30 – 2 p.m.
April 14 + 15, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Shadow Lake Towne Center | Free

The Easter Bunny will be preparing for the big day at Shadow Lake Towne Center. Visit him at storytime in Gordmans on Friday or in TJ Maxx on Saturday, then visit and take photos on Main Street!
April 15, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Lauritzen Gardens | Regular admission
Families all over Omaha look forward to Lauritzen Gardens’ annual Easter event every year. Take pictures with the Easter Bunny all morning, find candy-filled eggs, make crafts and more! To participate in the hunt and craft projects, an additional $3 will be charged. Reserve your spots online today!
April 15, 10 a.m. | La Vista Sports Complex | Free
La Vista’s annual Easter event benefits the Tri-City Food Pantry so bring along a canned food item or cash donation. Then, children of all ages will spread out through the La Vista Sports Complex softball fields for one of the best egg hunts in the region!
April 15, 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. | Master’s Hand | Free
During Master’s Hand’s Junque on the Green flea market, you can celebrate the spring and easter at Saturday’s Spring Fling. For the seventh year, there will be 22,000 eggs in the hunt — more than ever before! You can also meet Queen Elsa, Princess Anna & Olaf from Frozen, ride ponies, pet baby animals in the petting zoo, and much more!
April 15, 11:30 a.m. | Fontenelle Park | Free
Join Abide Omaha for their annual family-friendly egg hunt including lunch, raffle prizes, bounce houses and music!
April 16, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Lauritzen Gardens | $13 – $30
On Easter Sunday, share brunch with your loved ones at Lauritzen Gardens. Reservations for children ages 6 – 12 are $13 and everyone under 5 is free.
