The holiday season is rapidly approaching, meaning your calendar is about to be filled to the brim with office parties, family gatherings and other social events. If you’ve decided to host your own get-together in the upcoming weeks, you’ll have to make it stand apart from the rest! Decorating your house with the perfect festive accents is a great place to start, but the food and drinks will really be the glue that holds the whole soirée together.
If the thought of preparing all the food yourself seems overwhelming, you’re in luck! We’ve rounded up the best caterers in Omaha, each guaranteed to make your event one-of-a-kind (and delicious). Enjoy!

Whether your event is large or small, casual or formal, Catering Creations dedicates the same attention to detail both in and out of the kitchen. The talented staff is with you from the beginning, and will meet with you to design a custom menu perfectly suited to your event. After that, all you have to do is sit back, enjoy the party, and let the professionals handle the rest!
The menu options change seasonally to incorporate the most readily available produce, but some of the all-stars include cucumber crowns with spicy edamame hummus; ahi tuna and ginger mayo; mini shepherd’s pie with ground lamb and herbed goat cheese; and duck confit with peach farro risotto. Hungry yet?
If it’s soul food you’re after, look no further than Big Mama’s Kitchen & Catering. Your guests will enjoy a full gauntlet of carefully crafted southern delicacies, including fried okra with plum sauce, tender fried catfish, cornbread with honey butter, fried chicken and more. It’s no wonder this place was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!
Big Mama herself grew up in North Omaha in the 40s and 50s, and has since built a successful business on the grounds of hard work and cooking from the heart. She loves sharing her story, so be sure to ask about it when she caters your next event!

Eddie’s Catering has served Omaha since 1951, and with so many decades of experience, it’s no wonder this business continues to be a crowd-pleaser! The company is modeled after Eddie Galas’ original cafe, a small sandwich shop and bar in South Omaha. The business was burned to the ground in a fire in 1987, but rose from the ashes as the thriving catering business that it is today!
Host your party in one of its two venues, Eddie’s Social Hall or Millard Social Hall, or choose to have the food come to you with a customizable off-site catering menu. Offerings are updated often to reflect current food trends and available ingredients, but you can find options, as well as pricing and policies, on the website!

Since 2003, the award-winning team behind Attitude on Food has been dedicated to making weddings, corporate events and family gatherings memorable. The staff provides event coordination for larger scale get-togethers, and if you’ve tasted any of the bites from the AOF food truck, you’ll know that the food is nothing to scoff at!
Options include interactive buffet stations (mac ‘n’ cheese bar, anyone?), passable hors d’oeuvre, dessert stations, and sit-down dinner selections. The menu is completely customizable, but the staff is more than willing to provide recommendations on some of the most popular items!
“Yeah, I wasn’t a fan of that party — they served barbecue,” said no one ever. Barbecue is always a fan favorite, which is why we had to include a smoked meat staple on the list. The scratch-made meals from time-honored family recipes are sure to make any event special, from small family gatherings to large soirées with several hundred guests. Order a family-style dinner a la carte, or choose the per-person buffet option. Either way, make sure you get some of that brisket!

Abraham Catering began in 1951 as a small, family-owned business. Though it has evolved today into something much bigger, it has never compromised its family values — or the quality of food for that matter. The team easily handles events from 10 to 5,000 people, and offers a wide selection of menus and packages to suit your needs. Choose beef, seafood, poultry and veggie dishes cooked any way you like them, all crafted with quality ingredients that stand apart from the rest.

Beacon Hills offers globally influenced American cuisine served with Midwest hospitality. The food is anything but forgettable, and every item is made from scratch and with passion. The catering menu is vast and customizable, but a few of the standout items include smoked kielbasa crostini, cheesesteak egg rolls, tomato basil chicken, five cheese lasagna and beef enchiladas. It all sounds so good — we wouldn’t even know where to begin! Luckily, a trained staff member is ready to guide you through the options and help you pick a menu to impress.
Not convinced? Try the cuisine for yourself at the brick and mortar restaurant in Aksarben Village. The happy hour menu is worth checking out, too!
Nothing is more sophisticated than serving fresh, piping hot espresso bevvies at your event. Thankfully, Jo on the Go is the coffee shop that comes to you! The company has been serving java since 2005, and swears by its classic coffee drinks and signature sippers. Try the snickers latte — you won’t regret it.
We hope your next event goes off without a hitch! Do you have experience with any of the caterers we mentioned, or are there any you love that we left off the list? Share the love and recommendations in the comments below!
