2017 has nearly come to a close, but we’re not willing to let it go without one final celebration! Luckily, Lincoln knows how to throw a good party. From funky 80s-style bashes to elegant masquerades, there are plenty of New Year’s Eve events in the area to help you ring in a new era.
So before the clock strikes midnight and you begin work on those resolutions, put on those party pants and hit the town! Regardless of how you choose to celebrate, there is bound to be an event to match your taste.

Step into one of Lincoln’s favorite yoga studios, Empower Yourself Yoga, and take some time to reflect on 2017 with an invigorating yoga class! Emily Bass will lead the class through 108 sun salutations to welcome the new year, a meditation of intention and some challenging poses. Afterward, enjoy a long and restful Savasana to reset your system (and prepare you for a long day of celebrating).

The Nebraska Kart Shootout will conclude the year with the Annual Indoor Speed-Dash National Championships, which will include a full weekend of racing, cage karts, various classes, junior races, adult races and more! Whether you’re competing or just watching, you are bound to have a good time, and photographer Rowdy Jordan of Chase’n Race’n Online and P&R Photos will be there to capture the memories.

Join the Tony Meza Band as they perform original music and popular hits for your entertainment! Whether you’re looking to be in bed a bit early or just start off the night with something fun, this early New Year’s Eve concert at Lincoln’s iconic Zoo Bar is sure to be a foot-stompin’, finger-snappin’ good time.

Your kids don’t have to miss our on the New Year’s Eve fun! The Lincoln Children’s Museum throws a family-friendly celebration every year featuring a dance party, party favors, a bubble wrap stomp, and a balloon drop. At the end of the night, ring in 2018 with a make believe countdown to midnight, and get home before bedtime.

2017 marks the 40th anniversary of Abendmusik at First Plymouth Church. Join the ensemble for this inspiring musical event as they celebrate with special guests Jack Levick and Jeremy Bankson. The concert will be preceded by a reception featuring champagne and elegant appetizers!

This elegant celebration at the Embassy Suites is the perfect way to ring in the new year in style. Whomever dons the best mask will win a golden ticket, which grants free access to all Bourbon Theatre shows for a full year.

Before 2018 hits, take yourself back in time to the 80s at this funky and fab event! Break out your most outrageous attire and style your hair as big as you possibly can to ring in the new year. The party will begin with appetizers at 7 pm, and continues with a live performance from the Midnight Devils and a champagne toast at midnight!

Originating from right here in Lincoln, Nebraska, the Church Beers is one of the area’s best cover bands. Come celebrate with them at the 1867 Bar for New Year’s Eve as they perform your favorite hits from previous decades. Dance the night away, and toast to the new year with free champagne at midnight!

Where: The Cornhusker Marriott Hotel
Usher in 2018 with style, mystery and music at this fabulous masquerade. You’ll start the evening off with cocktails and appetizers at 6 pm followed by an elegant dinner with salmon and local beef filet. After dinner, dance the night away to the live music of the Raw Nerve, and toast to the new year with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.
