There’s nothing guilt-inducing about Greenbelly. Not only do they offer healthy, delicious food for all different diets, but they also serve those tasty dishes in 100% compostable containers—making you feel good about your health and the planet when you eat there! Their salads are some of our favorites in the entire city, featuring sweet dishes like the Very Berry Salad; a savory choice like Parmesan-Herb; and even a Baklava Salmon Salad complete with Baklava mix and Mandarin oranges. If you aren’t in the mood for a salad, no biggie! Greenbelly also offers a spectacular menu of soups, sandwiches, wraps and pizzas, which are only $9.99 on Mondays and Tuesdays. You can order takeout over the phone or online on their handy mobile app!

All Good Food

2521 South 132nd Street, Omaha

All Good Food is one of Omaha’s newest carryout sensations! This yummy spot only does curbside takeout and delivery, with several healthy menus all available from one kitchen. Choose from tasty chicken nuggets, toasty grilled cheese, Keto dishes, burritos, quesadillas, incredible desserts and, of course, rice and salad bowls. They currently offer two salad bowls, both of which are completely customizable and delicious! But the one that everyone has been raving about is their Broccoli Salad, featuring a broccoli base and topped with cheese, meat, other veggies and your choice of dressing.

Okra African Grill

1303 South 72nd Street, Omaha

Who says that deli and sandwich shops are the only good places to get a salad? Okra African Grill offers fresh and delicious salads along with their menu of slow-cooked African dishes. Their simple house salad features a crisp salad mix with onion, tomatoes, cucumber, green peppers, parsley and their house vinaigrette. Their most unique salad option, Salad Togolaise, offers that same house salad mix topped with their house vinaigrette, mayonnaise, mustard, eggs, potatoes and vermicelli noodles—yum!

2425 South 192nd Avenue, Omaha | 210 North 7th Street, Lincoln | 5900 Old Cheney Road, Lincoln

In 1991, Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill opened in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket District, bringing the state of Nebraska its first brewpub. Since then, Lazlo’s has grown to include another Lincoln location and even an Omaha brewpub. In addition to their wide variety of tasty, locally brewed beer and succulent steaks, they also happen to have an incredible salad selection! Choose from more than six salads, featuring ingredients like quinoa, black beans, fresh braised beets, golden delicious apples, artichoke hearts and more. They even make their signature dressings—honey mustard, creamy garlic, bleu cheese, thousand island, balsamic vinaigrette, poppy seed, and low-calorie Italian—in house!

Pitch Pizzeria

17808 Burke Street, Omaha | 5021 Underwood Avenue, Omaha

When we think of good, wood-fired pizza in Omaha, we always think of Pitch Pizzeria. This local pizza joint has been a favorite for years, serving up some of the best pizza, brunch, sandwiches, burgers and pasta in town. But if you’re on the hunt for something lighter this month, Pitch Pizzeria’s salads are just as good as anything else on their menu! Choose from selections like their Iceberg Wedge Salad, a Baby Spinach Mushroom Salad, a Roasted Beets Salad, a Crab Cake Salad or, our personal favorite, the Cajun Caesar Salad. For a real treat, get a half salad and a cup of house-made soup for just $10!

2329 North 90th Street, Omaha

Chaikhana Bar & Shishkabobs, home to tasty Eastern cuisine, is always a great choice when it comes to local dining. We adore their $4.99 hummus appetizer, beef stroganoff and gyros but there’s another group of dishes that have us going back again and again: their spectacular salads! While their Greek Salad selections are divine, we adore their unique Olivie Salad, featuring diced and steamed potatoes, carrots, pickles, cooked beef, green onions, boiled eggs, and green peas. This eclectic take on a classic salad was introduced at the Hermitage Restaurant in Moscow in the 1860s to excited patrons and continues to wow guests today at Chaikhana!

Nestled in Old Market, M’s Pub has been the industry leader for excellence in chef-driven food in Omaha for more than 40 years. Their menu includes a variety of classic, yet upscale, pub food like Lahvosh, sandwiches, light entrees and incredible desserts along with light, crisp and hearty salads! Salmon, chicken tenderloin, blackened shrimp and lamb are all features on their salad menu, but we may be partial to their Warm Duck Salad, a dish that includes fresh spinach with bleu cheese, walnuts, Roma tomatoes, julienne vegetables, red onion and warm bacon dressing with roasted duck. All of their food items are available for takeout — just call (402) 342-2550 to place your order!

Oma’Oma’O Poke & Sushi

12424 West Dodge Road, Omaha

Some might argue that poke, a diced raw fish dish originating in Hawaii, isn’t really a traditional salad. But we say that any mixture of fresh veggies and meat in a bowl definitely counts. One of our go-to places for poke in the Omaha area is Oma’Oma’O Poke & Sushi, a local favorite offering tasty poke bowls, sushi and Thai rolled ice cream! When it comes to poke, they leave it all up to you. While you can definitely choose from their signature bowl menu, we love creating our own—choosing between rice or spring mix (and others) as our base, picking our mix-ins, selecting our fish and deciding what sauce to pour on top. Click here to explore their vast menu and to place your order online for curbside pickup!

742 North 114th Street, Omaha | 119 South 40th Street, Omaha

We can’t think of a better place to get a Greek salad than the best Greek restaurant in town! Feta’s has two locations across Omaha, offering tasty gyros, kabobs, entrees and more. Though their most popular dish by far has to be their Greek Salad, featuring lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, chunks of feta cheese and olives all topped with their incredible Greek dressing. It’s so good, in fact, that they’ve started bottling up all that liquid gold and selling it at both Feta’s locations, online and in local grocery stores! Click here for all the info and to order local delivery.

7814 Dodge Street, Omaha | 17070 Wright Plaza, Omaha | 1101 Harney Street, Omaha

Jam’s, an Omaha restaurant legacy, is a contemporary American grill with locations in Midtown, Old Market and Wright Plaza. Their menu may be short and concise, but every option is savory and creative, and sure to satisfy every craving. Need tacos this Tuesday? Check! How about a crab cake burger? They have that, too! Or choose one of their various salad options that turn regular greens into a delicious, artful option. If you want a recommendation, you can’t go wrong with the Whiskey Steak Cobb, featuring marinated steak, avocado, chopped egg, Maytag bleu cheese, cherry tomatoes, green onions, bacon, green beans, sherry vinaigrette and basil aioli!
