Through decades of history, eastern Nebraska area communities have been built around agriculture. As a result, our neighborhoods are home to thriving family farms, farmers markets, several food and agriculture-based organizations, and dozens of community gardens.
So if you’re interested in getting in on the Lincoln agriculture scene—or just want to spruce up your home’s curb appeal—now’s the time! You can start by paying a visit to some local gardening experts. We rounded up some of the best in the area, some of which have been growing in the Lincoln area since the early 1900s. Happy planting!
Please note: Most of these garden centers and nurseries are currently open and following local health recommendations, including requiring mask-wearing and social distancing. For more information on each business’ current COVID-19 policies, we recommend visiting their individual websites.
