This post was updated on July 8th, 2021 to reflect the most current information and recommendations.

Brunch is a wonderful concept. It’s the perfect meal for the late weekend risers, the indecisive, those with large appetites, and food-lovers. You get all the syrupy benefits of breakfast along with the savory notes of lunch, all in one place… plus you get to sleep in a little bit. Brunch encourages slow living, flavor savoring and Bloody Mary drinking.

Omaha is constantly expanding its wonderful brunch options, and we’re excited to bring you on a local tour through some of our favorite spots. Some places offer specific brunch menus available every day, and others offer a specific brunch special one or two days a week. But what you can guarantee at each location is quality offerings and pleasant surroundings.

So send this list to your favorite brunch buddy and explore a new place this weekend. Just imagine — you could slowly wake up this Saturday, venture to one of these restaurants and be sipping on mimosas and nibbling on Eggs Benedict by noon. You can get a headstart on the lunch crowd and miss the rush hour full of early-rising breakfast eaters.

Whatever you do, Omahans, get to brunching! And let us know what you discover.

For our purposes, we’re particularly interested in First Watch’s breakfast/brunch menu, teeming with delectable egg-centric offerings and griddle goodness. And the best part of it all? First Watch provides an entire pitcher of coffee for the table as soon as you walk in the door.
