Omaha Storm Chasers Home Games



Where? Werner Park, 12356 Ballpark Way

Catch the Omaha Storm Chasers in nearby Papillion as they have several home stands in April. The team is the proud Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and are 8-time league champs, with their most recent win being the International League Championship in 2024. The team plays their home games in Werner Park. Parking lots open two hours before first pitch and there is a bag policy in effect that prohibits large bags and backpacks. Tailgating is allowed in lots, so bring a few friends and some game day treats while you wait for gates to open. April promotions and game day specials include $3 Thursdays and an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 5th when the team faces off against the Buffalo Bisons. Canned Food Tuesdays will allow fans to exchange 3 cans of non-perishable food for one berm ticket and on Saturday, April 18th, fans will be invited to play catch in the outfield after the game! Benson First Friday

Whether you’re part of the Omaha community or just visiting as an art enthusiast, Benson First Friday is for everybody. This monthly tradition in the Benson Creative District brings the neighborhood to life with art, music, and creative energy on the first Friday of every month. What began as a small art walk has grown into a district-wide collaboration. Galleries, storefronts, bars, and community spaces across Benson host their own exhibitions, performances, and creative programming, making each First Friday a unique experience. April’s highlights include the Benson High School Senior Art Showcase at BFF Gallery, celebrating the next generation of local artists, and a special parent–child collaborative group exhibition at Petshop, exploring creativity across generations. Visitors can explore the full lineup of exhibitions, performances, and happenings across the neighborhood here, where all participating venues and events are listed each month. First Fridays are never one-size-fits-all. Each month brings new artists, new ideas, and new reasons to return—making Benson First Friday a celebration of creativity that continues to grow with the community.
First Friday Downtown Omaha Art Walk

Join likeminded creatives and art enthusiasts in Omaha’s Old Market each month to celebrate the city’s vibrant art scene. First Friday Art Walks are a beloved monthly tradition since being established in 2000. Gallery hours vary but a good rule of thumb is that everything will be open from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the first Friday of the month. This self-guided gallery tour is designed to showcase both local and regional talent. Expect anything and everything from contemporary installations to fine art, sculpture, and more. Each participating gallery has something unique to discover, so make sure to swing by and take a look! In some instances, you may even have the opportunity to meet the artists and explore special exhibitions. Participating First Friday galleries include the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery, the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, Garden of the Zodiac, KANEKO, Old Market Artists Gallery, Passageway Gallery and many more. By no means do you have to be a self-described art expert, either. Casual observers are welcome as well for what’s sure to be an exciting evening in Omaha!
Early Bird Run

Earn your worm at the Early Bird Run this April, presented by Nebraska Medicine! Race day is scheduled for a Saturday, so clear your day and get out there bright and early at 7:30 AM. Kick off the running season at the first big race of the year in west Omaha. Participants will be kicking things off at Walnut Grove Park at sunrise, from which they’ll circle the beautiful Zorinsky Lake and return for a post-race breakfast treat in Walnut Grove. Scout out the 10 mile course ahead of time so you’re ready to run! After your run, enjoy your post-race treat and grab a medal and make sure to pose in the race booth to commemorate your achievement. The Supernovas are a women’s professional indoor volleyball team based in Omaha. The team competes in Major League Volleyball as one of the league’s charter franchises and the inaugural champion in the 2024 season. The Supernovas play their home games at the CHI Health Center. Spring Festival: An Arts & Crafts Affair

Mark your calendar now for the 2026 Spring Festival, An Arts & Crafts Affair at the Library Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston, NE. Kicking off on Friday, April 10th from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, continuing Saturday, April 11th 9:00AM to 6:00PM and Sunday, April 12th 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The festival will feature an abundance of arts and crafts to discover. The festival has been voted one of the top 100 shows in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine and is set to feature over 500 hundreds of artists and crafters from 30 states! Patrons can expect to enjoy handcrafted wares, unique home decor, personalized gifts, holidays furnishings, and treasures aplenty. There will be hourly gift certificate drawings, food and drink for purchase and lots of family fun for all. Adult tickets are priced at $10, followed by $9 for seniors and children under 10 are free. Spring Fling Market

Save the date for the Spring Fling Market in Omaha’s Blackstone District this April! From 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the market will be closing down 39th Street between Farnam and Dodge. Local vendors and food trucks will be onsite, as well as a beer garden, live music, and kids activities such as face painting. This year’s vendor lineup includes Albany and Avers, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Chef Amore, Grounded Granola, Omaha Roller Derby, SJ Designs, Wild Bloom Bakery and many more. There are no tickets required, so just grab some friends or bring the family out for a relaxed afternoon. 45th Annual Corporate Cup

The Annual Corporate Cup is designed for every type of participant, so you don’t have to worry about being an ultra runner to have fun. The event is welcoming of walkers of all ages. The 45th Annual Corporate Cup will feature a professionally timed 10K and 5K, or walkable routes ranging from a 5K to 1 mile. There will even be a kids 100-yard dash so the little ones can get involved! The Kids Run is sponsored by Scheels and is open to children ages 5 to 10. The 10K course will take participants through Aksarben Village, Elmwood Park, surrounding neighborhoods and UNO’s campus. This year’s fundraising goal is $260,000 and the raised amount is already over the halfway point! Looking for ways to participate? Run, walk or come on out and cheer on the racers! These events are always highly anticipated, so get ready to admire the extensive and impressive collection of new homes in the Omaha metro area. The tour is designed to showcase the innovative workmanship from local home builders, from townhomes to estate homes and everything in between. The Parade of Homes has been a tradition for 75+ years, so whether you’ve been attending for decades or looking to get your feet wet in 2026, this is a can’t-miss opportunity!

Hailed as “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up” by The Atlantic Magazine and “One of the Funniest People” by CBS Mornings, this is a show you won’t want to miss. From selling out shows and breaking venue attendance records with 1.2+ million tickets sold in 2024, Bargatze has flown to the top to become one of the top earning comedians in the world. Mamma Mia!

Take a trip down the aisle that you’ll never forget with the smash hit musical Mamma Mia in Omaha! The show is coming to town starting Tuesday, April 28th at 7:30 PM and will run through May 3rd. Omaha Performing Arts is excited to bring the timeless hits of ABBA in this ultimate feel-good show about a mother, a daughter and three possible dads. The show will take place in the Orpheum Theater and is recommended for ages 5+ with some adult language. Doors open one hour before showtime and the runtime is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes with a 15 minute intermission. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase and Orpheum Theater does not have a clear bag policy in effect.
