It feels like summer just started, but according to the calendar, Labor Day weekend is just around the corner. Time certainly does fly! This weekend offers the chance to celebrate the sunny season before fall arrives. <\/span><\/p>\n

While it might be tempting to catch up on some extra z\u2019s over your three day break from work, it would be a shame to miss out on all of the fun and festive activities taking place around Lincoln. The Pinewood Bowl Theater<\/a> is an open-air venue that features plays, concerts and performances during the summer months. Labor Day Weekend marks one of the last summer events at this venue, and will welcome alternative rock band, Ween<\/a>, to perform.<\/p>\n

The Lincoln Children\u2019s Zoo<\/span><\/a> welcomes thousands of visitors from all over the state to interact with nature and animals from all over the world. This family-friendly destination will be open all three days over Labor Day weekend, so come surround yourself with scenic gardens and peruse the exhibits with your loved ones.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>Stop by First Family Friday Night at the Lincoln Children\u2019s Museum <\/b><\/h3>\n

The Lincoln Children\u2019s Museum is filled with educational activities and exhibits that are fun for kids of all ages \u2014 even adults can participate in the festivities! If you\u2019re a working parent and can\u2019t make it during the week, stop by for First Family Friday Night<\/a>. The museum will be open until 7:30 pm, so you and the whole family will have the opportunity to see the sights. Afterward, grab pizza with the crew at one of these Omaha hot spots<\/a>.<\/p>\n
