There are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npdodge.com\/blog\/2016\/01\/the-top-omaha-bloggers-to-follow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">so many talented bloggers in the area<\/a> covering a variety of subjects, and several of them touch on home improvement or DIY projects.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at some of our favorite DIY home projects! Maybe you\u2019ll be inspired to tackle one of these this upcoming weekend, or you\u2019d like to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/npdodge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pin it for a rainy day<\/a>. Either way, admire these local DIYers who are making some awesome additions to their home.<\/p>\n<h2><b>DIY Marble Coffee Table<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Marble and hairpin legs are extremely popular right now, and this <a href=\"http:\/\/thestripedhouse.com\/2016\/03\/diy-marble-coffee-table\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DIY Marble Coffee Table<\/a> from Jen of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thestripedhouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Striped House<\/a> combines the two in this easy-to-follow tutorial. While Jen learned that marble weighs a lot (and consequently didn\u2019t have to be glued to the plywood base), we learned that she has an eye for design and a knack for DIY. Excuse us while we search for an abandoned piece of marble&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Big and Bold DIY Fabric Art<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thestripedhouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Striped House<\/a> has another project we\u2019re quite fond of. This <a href=\"http:\/\/thestripedhouse.com\/2016\/03\/big-bold-diy-fabric-art\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Big and Bold DIY Fabric Art<\/a> is extremely easy to put together, as it simply requires creating a wood frame and attaching your favorite print to it. Because large prints can be extremely expensive, this is a more budget-friendly alternative that allows you to incorporate the exact print you wish to display in your space!<\/p>\n<h2><b>DIY Gold Stick Art<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Here\u2019s another easy wall art project that adds personality and interest to a wall, shelf or dresser. \u00a0Create your own <a href=\"http:\/\/lifeonvirginiastreet.com\/2015\/08\/gold-stick-art\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DIY Gold Stick Art<\/a> following the tutorial from Sarah of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lifeonvirginiastreet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Life on Virginia Street<\/a>. The end result looks extremely natural and simple!<\/p>\n<h2><b>DIY Fresh Pineapple Vase<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>With summer quickly approaching, you may be looking forward to the sweet taste of pineapple at a barbeque, and the sweet smell of flowers blooming in your yard. Did you know you could combine the two? Sarah of <a href=\"http:\/\/lifeonvirginiastreet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Life on Virginia Street<\/a> proves that this is possible with her <a href=\"http:\/\/lifeonvirginiastreet.com\/2015\/06\/diy-fresh-pineapple-vase\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DIY Fresh Pineapple Vase<\/a>. The best part? You get to eat the insides of the pineapple once you carve it out!<\/p>\n<h2><b>DIY Burlap Memo Board<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Jillian of <a href=\"http:\/\/theanastasiaco.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Anastasia Co.<\/a> created a <a href=\"http:\/\/theanastasiaco.com\/diy-burlap-memo-board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DIY Burlap Memo Board<\/a> to display precious memories and inspirational photos using a few simple materials. Learn how you can recreate her project so you too can savor memories in picture form with this natural and rustic memo board!<\/p>\n<h2><b>Copper-Dipped Planter<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Jillian of <a href=\"http:\/\/theanastasiaco.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Anastasia Co.<\/a> is <a href=\"http:\/\/theanastasiaco.com\/about-succulents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a sucker for succulents<\/a>, and so are we! In fact, we think they\u2019re <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npdodge.com\/blog\/2016\/02\/great-winter-houseplants-and-where-to-find-them-locally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">one of the best plants to grow during the winter<\/a>. You may have all the houseplants in the world, but they won\u2019t last long without a proper container! Jillian added a pop of bright copper paint to these otherwise ordinary pots in her <a href=\"http:\/\/theanastasiaco.com\/copper-dipped-planter-diy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Copper-Dipped Planter DIY<\/a> tutorial, and they look downright adorable.<\/p>\n<h2><b>DIY Gold Shoe Rack<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Brigette of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegossamergirl.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Gossamer Girl<\/a> proves that all things look better dipped in gold with her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegossamergirl.com\/?p=245\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DIY Gold Shoe Rack<\/a>. She loves the industrial look, and decided to spruce up some plumbing rods with a coat of gold spray paint. This provides double the storage space for shoes in her entry nook, and is much easier to look at than an average shoe rack!<\/p>\n<h2><b>DIY Carrera Marble Countertops<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegossamergirl.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Gossamer Girl<\/a> carried the DIY craze into her kitchen with some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegossamergirl.com\/?p=146\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DIY Carrera Marble Countertops<\/a> that we adore. She purchased a countertop paint kit and was able to successfully transform her chipped, discolored and scratched countertops into something quite spectacular. And we\u2019re all about those <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npdodge.com\/blog\/2015\/10\/alternative-countertop-surfaces-that-counter-the-granite-craze\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">alternative countertop surfaces<\/a>. (Side Note: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegossamergirl.com\/?p=247\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">How adorable is her kitchen<\/a>?!)<\/p>\n<h2><b>DIY Macram<\/b><b>\u00e9<\/b><b>niac<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>If you share our love for house plants, you may be have a foliage overpopulation issue in your home. Thankfully, you can hang plants from the ceiling using this <a href=\"http:\/\/omahamagazine.com\/2015\/06\/diy-macrameniac\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DIY Macram\u00e9niac<\/a>, a refreshing flashback to the \u201870s. This macram\u00e9 plant hanger from <a href=\"http:\/\/omahamagazine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Omaha Magazine<\/a> is extremely easy to make, and the end result is natural and whimsical.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Wood and Pipe Table<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>We love this DIY <a href=\"http:\/\/omahamagazine.com\/2015\/10\/wood-pipe-table\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wood and Pipe Table<\/a> from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/omahamagazine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Omaha Magazine<\/a>. A couple made use of abandoned wood and re-imagined them into two spectacular industrial tables perfect for entertaining.
