They are located just a few blocks away from the University of Lincoln Campus and love to support the community whenever they can. Every Tuesday, they contribute three percent of their gross sales to a charitable organization. The organization changes every season, but you can find who they\u2019re currently supporting here<\/a>!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
The Eatery <\/a><\/h2>\n2548 South 48th Street<\/i><\/a><\/p>\nThe Eatery is a casual dining spot locally-owned and operated in the heart of Lincoln. Their expansive menu offers something for everyone, including breakfast all day, pizza, burgers, and even vegetarian and gluten-free options! Because they love the Lincoln community, they try to give back as much as possible. The Eatery donates goods to Food Net<\/a> facilities to help them distribute meals for families in need, and provides donations and volunteers to as many local organizations as possible.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Meadowlark Coffee <\/a><\/h2>\n1624 South Street<\/i><\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
First opened on Earth Day 2005, Meadowlark Coffee has always been focused on sustainability. That same vision lives on today with new owners Joey Plunkett and his wife Andi Barker as they continue to provide sustainable goods and support other local businesses. They exclusively sell Grounds for Change<\/a> coffees, which are certified organic and fair trade. The coffee is also shade-grown, which helps to ensure healthy and safe habitats for migratory birds.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Moran\u2019s Liquor Works<\/a><\/h2>\n3400 A Street <\/i><\/a><\/p>\nMoran\u2019s is a locally owned neighborhood liquor store that specializes in beer, wine and spirits. They\u2019re home to the best craft beer mix-n-match in Lincoln, offering over 350 craft beers to choose from. In addition to their fantastic selection, they\u2019re also a large supporter of Lincoln organizations. To date, they\u2019ve raised over $25,000 for local charities and continue to go above and beyond for the community whenever they can.<\/p>\n

Based in Lincoln, they put on events throughout Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. Their award-winning races have been recognized by Runner\u2019s World Magazine<\/em>, Outside Magazine<\/em> and Women\u2019s Health<\/em>, but they\u2019re adamant that they couldn\u2019t do what they do without the support from local nonprofits that help them put on the fun events. Which is why they\u2019ve donated over $350,000 back to those local groups and promote all of them yearly on Give to Lincoln<\/a> and Omaha Gives<\/a> Days! Because of the high value they place on community outreach, they consistently host charity events, teaming up with local organizations like the Lincoln Children\u2019s Museum<\/a>, the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital<\/a>, and the Lincoln Community Playhouse<\/a>. They offer year-round art classes in painting, drawing mixed media and more for all ages. But it\u2019s their Art Van deLUX, a mobile art program, that is making a huge difference in the community today. The Art Van deLUX provides art-making classes and workshops to low-income school children and the elderly, Alzheimer\u2019s patients, cancer survivors, and other groups, which is helping to change hundreds of lives every year.<\/p>\n
