Before you even start looking, it\u2019s important to consider why you want to buy a home. Because you\u2019ve heard that it\u2019s a buyer\u2019s market? Or that renting costs more than mortgage payments? Or because you are planning on living in the area for a longer period of time? Taking a moment to consider why you\u2019re interested in purchasing a home will help you make important decisions later in the process.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. The Search<\/h3>\n

2. Stick to your budget <\/span><\/h3>\n

You\u2019ve found \u201cThe One\u201d. It\u2019s everything you could have ever wanted, plus, it has a huge backyard! The only problem is that it\u2019s $50,000 over your budget. You can definitely make an offer that is closer to your budget, but if your offer is declined don\u2019t spread yourself too thin by countering with another offer that is out of your price range. Remember that you made a budget for a reason and try to let \u201cThe One\u201d go. We know it\u2019s hard.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Making an offer<\/span><\/h3>\n

Finally, you\u2019ve found your home. One that is within your budget and has everything you\u2019ve been looking for. Now it\u2019s time to make an offer.
