Mother\u2019s Day is right around the corner! While we definitely think moms deserve to be celebrated year-round, we\u2019re not going to pass up an opportunity to spend an entire day showering them with a little extra love.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s holiday is a little different due to the official advice to avoid non-essential contact to prevent the spread of COVID-19\u2014but that doesn\u2019t mean we shouldn\u2019t mark the occasion. There are still a few ways to create a sense of closeness during physical isolation. In fact, we rounded up a couple of ideas!<\/p>\n

Here you\u2019ll find some virtual get-together ideas, gift inspiration and a few activities that you can do 6 feet apart. No matter how you decide to celebrate, we hope your mom feels special. If you ask us, nothing says \u201cI love you\u201d quite like a stunning batch of blooming flowers. There are several florists around the area that are currently still offering curbside pickup and delivery. Surprise Her with Brunch<\/h2>\n

Honestly, our second favorite thing about Mother\u2019s Day is brunch (the first is our moms, of course). But when we aren\u2019t able to eat at a restaurant, it can be difficult to bring some of the brunch magic to the holiday. Luckily, many of our favorite brunch destinations in the area are now offering curbside pickup and delivery of breakfast and brunch classics. Head to Overeasy<\/a> for a few entrees and sides that you can pick up via their drive-thru. Then, pop over to The Tavern<\/a>, which is offering mimosa kits that include a bottle of champagne and orange juice for $22. After you\u2019ve got your brunch haul, drop it off at your mom\u2019s house for a sweet, breakfast-on-porch surprise.<\/p>\n
