But things are going to look a little different this year\u2014at least for the time being.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">While farmers markets are deemed an essential business and can open for the 2020 season, a lot of changes, including pre-orders and pickups, social distancing guidelines, and restrictions on prepared foods will be in effect to keep farmers, vendors and customers safe.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We&#8217;ve rounded up all the markets in the Omaha area that plan to be open for the 2020 season, along with information on how they are responding to the pandemic. This year, they are planning on offering produce, herbs, vegetable starter plants, meat, dairy and eggs, bread and a variety of artisanal prepared products that are pre-packaged. They are also reopening the market for crafts and other handmade items. The market asks that you keep a respectful distance from others at the market and to not socialize in between shopping. Many vendors are allowing you to pre-order items online so you can just drop in and pick them up.
