As communities nationwide look for ways to support the Black community, you may be wondering what you can to show your support locally. Across the country, people are making monetary donations to organizations serving the Black community and fighting systems of racial inequality, educating themselves on issues facing the Black community in order to become a better ally, advocating for policy change, and more.<\/p>\n
Locally, it\u2019s just as important to show support, whether that\u2019s by donating to Omaha NAACP<\/a>,\u00a0ACLU Nebraska<\/a>\u00a0or the Urban League of Nebraska<\/a>,\u00a0voting in the upcoming local election, or showing your support by patroning\u00a0one of the many Black-owned businesses in the Omaha area.<\/p>\n To help you find a list of businesses you can support, we created the guide below. We know this is not a definitive list, so if we missed one of your favorite Black-owned businesses and organizations in our community, please let us know in the comments below.
