DodgeCares, Inc.<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>i<\/span><\/span>s a 501(c)(3) exempt charitable organization that was started by NP Dodge sales associates in 2002. The\u00a0<\/span><\/span>organization’s<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>ultimate goal<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is to support the people and nonprofit agencies that work to make\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Omaha<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and the surrounding areas an even better place to live, work and raise a family.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They do this by collecting tax-deductible contributions from NP Dodge sales associates, employees and the general public. NP Dodge Real Estate then matches those contributions up to a designated dollar amount per person and distributes the funds each year\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to a<\/span><\/span>\u00a0handful of<\/span><\/span>\u00a0local n<\/span><\/span>onprofit organizations. These organizations provide food,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>shelter<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and comfort for the homeless, displaced and abused in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In early\u00a0<\/span><\/span>March<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>2021,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>DodgeCares<\/span><\/span>\u00a0presented $70,669.00 to 15 local\u00a0<\/span><\/span>nonprofit<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>organizations, despite the challenges faced in 2020 due to COVID-19.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

A branch of the nationwide<\/span><\/span>\u00a0nonprofit<\/span><\/span>, Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity is a hou<\/span><\/span>sing organization\u00a0<\/span><\/span>operated<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on Christian principles helping to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>provide<\/span><\/span>\u00a0homes,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>community<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and hope\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to<\/span><\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Fremont<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0area. They are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies<\/span><\/span>;<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and by providing train<\/span><\/span>ing and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Habitat for Humanity Omaha<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Founded in 1984, Habitat for Humanity of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Omaha<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is a grassroots organization that builds and renovates houses; forges community partnerships; and breaks down barriers. They help to gro<\/span><\/span>w<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and maintain the affordable housing stock in Burt County, Omaha, Sarpy County, Washington County and Waterl<\/span><\/span>oo while also increasing access to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>homeownership<\/span><\/span>\u00a0opportunities in the area. Since their founding, Habitat\u00a0<\/span><\/span>for Humanity\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Omaha has partnered with more than 1,800 families and individuals. This year, they will impact the lives of more than 200 families in the Omaha metro area.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Habitat for Humanity Sarpy<\/span><\/span>\u00a0County<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n
Habitat for Humanity has been helping to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter in Sarpy County since 1994. By partnering with first-time homeowners, members of the faith community, local businesses, and neighbors\u2014HFH Sarpy County\u00a0<\/span><\/span>is able to<\/span><\/span>\u00a0expand access to homeownership<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>throughout the communities of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Papillion<\/span><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Bellevue<\/span><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Gretna<\/span><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>La Vista<\/span><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Springfield<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0and Chalco. In July 2020, Habitat for Humanity Sarpy County merged with Habitat Omaha, creating “Habitat for Humanity of Omaha”<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to build opportunity by further expanding access to homeownership, home improvement resources and financial readiness programs throughout the entire Omaha metro area.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
