Alas, summer has come to an end, and it\u2019s time to say hello to cooler temperatures, brightly colored orange and red leaves, cozy sweaters, warm boots and hot cider. In honor of the season that brings us apple orchards, pumpkin patches and corn mazes, we wanted to welcome the first official day of autumn by sharing some of our favorite fall photos around Omaha.<\/p>\n

Omaha is beautiful this time of year and these photos showcase the wonder of our city! So get outside and enjoy these local hotspots before winter is upon us! The Gene Leahy Mall<\/a>
\nThis park, also known as Central Park or The Mall, runs through the heart of the city. Go for a walk along the riverfront and take in the views of Omaha\u2019s downtown skyscape, old buildings and stunning architecture in the fall.<\/p>\n

\"UNO<\/a><\/p>\n

University of Nebraska at Omaha<\/a>
\nIt\u2019s no surprise that the beautiful UNO campus made the list! The old world charm of the university\u2019s buildings offer a stunning backdrop to the colorful fall foliage. We recommend grabbing a cup of coffee, a good book and a blanket, and finding yourself a quiet spot on campus to enjoy the scenery.<\/p>\n

\"Memorial<\/a><\/p>\n

Memorial Park<\/a>
\nWith monuments honoring the local men and women who have served in the armed forces, the sprawling lawn of Memorial Park offers plenty of open spaces for enjoying the changing colors of the seasons and the crisp autumn air.<\/p>\n

\"Old<\/a><\/p>\n

Old Market<\/a>
\nOld Market is one of our favorite Omaha neighborhoods, and it just so happens to be a great place to celebrate fall as well! The market comes alive on the weekends with people visiting the shops and restaurants that line the street. Spend the day picking out a pumpkin and sipping cider from one of the local businesses partaking in the seasonal festivities.<\/p>\n

Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge<\/a>
\nThe longest pedestrian bridge to link two states, you can find spectacular displays of orange and red no matter if you\u2019re in Nebraska or Iowa! Not only is the bridge beautiful this time of year, but the lights that outline it at night make the perfect backdrop for a romantic midnight stroll.<\/p>\n

\"Lauritzen<\/a><\/p>\n

Lauritzen Gardens<\/a>
\nTake a walk through the gardens to see a breathtaking display of autumn\u2019s beauty. The botanical center also hosts the Fall Chrysanthemum Show where boldly colored mums, trees and shrubs are on exhibit during this Japanese-inspired showcase.<\/p>\n
