Ralston Arena<\/span><\/a> is one of the largest sporting event, show and concert venues in the Omaha area. It\u2019s also home to the <\/span>Omaha Rollergirls<\/span><\/a> and the <\/span>Omaha Chargers<\/span><\/a> basketball team. <\/span>Drop in hockey<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>public ice skating<\/span><\/a> are offered monthly, so dust those skates off (or rent some inside) and check out Ralston Arena! <\/span><\/p>\n

Fun-Plex<\/span><\/a> is Nebraska\u2019s largest waterpark and rides center, hosting the state\u2019s only roller coaster. There are several <\/span>rides<\/span><\/a> at the park, including thrill rides and kiddie rides, so the whole family can participate! Fun-Plex also has two different go-kart tracks \u2014\u00a0a classic racing route and the Slick Track, a much more slippery and wild ride. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Great Ral-Stein Festival of Beer<\/h3>\n

A networking and community event, this beer festival was inspired by <\/span>Ralston\u2019s Wine Walk<\/span><\/a> and the community\u2019s love of local beer. Over the past few years it has grown into a large community event highlighting breweries, restaurants, retail and service shops and even community crafters. Participants take home a tasting glass and unlimited samples of beer and food. This year\u2019s event is on October 6 from 5 \u2013\u00a08 p.m. Don\u2019t miss it! <\/span><\/p>\n

This large patriotic celebration has given Ralston the title of \u201cIndependence City\u201d. Beyond its patriotic charm, the Independence Day Celebration is looked upon as a \u201chomecoming\u201d of sorts for former residents, as they have an opportunity to visit with old friends and family in their former hometown.<\/span><\/p>\n
