Papio Bay is open daily from Memorial Day through the second Sunday in August. The water park includes an enormous Z-shaped pool with a zero-depth area, play features, a diving board, two water slides (one covered and one open), a separate splash pool area, and a sand area. And one of the most unique features is the pirate ship with a slide! After swimming and splashing, grab some food and drinks from the concession stand and relax in the shaded seating area. Did you know there is a splash park tucked away in the zoo? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omahazoo.com\/alaskan-adventure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scott Alaskan Adventure<\/a> is an Alaskan-themed exhibit with tons of sprays and spouts, and more than 75 bronze sculptures created by local artist Matthew Placzek. The sculptures include a variety of animals not currently at the zoo, including 30 jumping salmon, 25 puffins, 15 sea lions, three porpoising orcas, and three brown bears. And the centerpiece of Alaskan Adventure is the 18-foot-high humpback whale, which has water trailing from its long fins. The exhibit is free for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omahazoo.com\/become-a-member\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">zoo members<\/a> and with paid <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omahazoo.com\/hours-and-admission\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">general admission<\/a>. It has a large zero-depth to 3 feet swimming area with several water fountains, umbrellas and water toys. Plus, there is a moderate-depth swimming area ranging from 4\u20136 feet, as well as a 12-foot-deep diving area with a diving board.
