Mention the word Rockbrook to most Omahans, and they immediately think of the unique shopping center located at 108 th and West Center Road. Known as Rockbrook Village, it was a major attraction and a magnet for families building new homes in the area when it was constructed in the 1960s. The majority of these homes are still standing today, surrounded by mature trees and well manicured lawns which promote a quiet setting for all who live in the area. Their styles vary—ranches, splits, two stories—and many have been remodeled to provide more amenities, making them very attractive for the resale market. Larger, older homes with more diverse architecture are found on the community’s northern area, which is sometimes referred to as Old Rockbrook. Set on curvilinear streets with angular lots, they also have strong resale value.
