Having a Championship Attitude

Motivation challenges all of us. By definition motivation means the reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way or the general desire or willingness of someone to do something.  Are we “motivated” to get up early and work out? Are we “motivated” to lose that extra 15 pounds? Are we “motivated” to finally make the move we’ve been considering? The list is endless.

Tuesday, sales associates and employees were motivated at our General Sales Meeting by Aaron Davis. Davis is a motivational speaker and former Nebraska Cornhusker. He has written three books and is an owner and partner of two successful businesses.

The meeting was filled with great inspiration and motivation on the real estate market and how REALTORS® can keep their focus during today’s market challenges. “Don’t forget the “why” you do what you do” Davis reminded everyone in the room. The “whys” Davis was listing were “your spouse, your children, and your parents”.

“Instead of a New Year’s Resolution, have a New Year’s Commitment” Davis said.  “Today’s sales environment is more competitive than ever before and it’s those who are able to focus when others fold, who consistently stay at the top” Davis said.

He reminded NP Dodge sales associates to finish the rest of the year strong, shake off what couldn’t be changed from yesterday and keep moving forward.

At the conclusion of the meeting, there were drawings for various gifts. One of the ten buses traveling around the Omaha Metro area with the NP Dodge branding on stopped by the Regency Marriott so sales associates and employees could have their pictures taken in front of it.
