Omaha doesn’t slack in the New Year’s Eve department, especially when it comes to fireworks and midnight bashes! Invite your favorite group of people out for an evening of fun, music, and more at these local parties and events.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks Spectacular

Where? 455 North 10th Street

On Tuesday, December 31st at 7:00 PM — get ready for Omaha’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks Spectacular. The best viewing for this thunderous event is from The RiverFront and the Old Market. Arrive early to snag a comfortable spot so you can relax before the show kicks off. This is the final signature event in the Holiday Lights Festival in Omaha. The show is thoughtfully produced by J&M Displays, with each shell choreographed to open on cue to a musical score that has been developed specially for the Fireworks Spectacular event. STAR 104.5 will be broadcasting a special soundtrack of music that’s been chosen to accompany the marvelous bursts of light and colors from The RiverFront’s sound system. Join in with the community as everyone rings in the new year under this dazzling, awe-inspiring display. The show typically runs for approximately an hour.

New Year’s Eve Bash at The Steppe Center

Where? 11730 Peel Circle

Are you ready for the biggest party of the year? From live music, red carpet photos, champagne toasts, fireworks, and even a karaoke lounge — this is a can’t-miss event for those wanting to ring in the new year in style. Beginning at 7:00 PM on NYE, The Steppe Center in La Vista will be hosting its annual New Year’s Eve Bash for adults. The event will include hors d’oeuvres, a blackjack table, and much more to keep everyone entertained all evening long. Ticket prices include your first drink ticket, so start sipping on something bubbly to get the evening kicked off on the right foot. VIP packages are available, which include access to the VIP area, a cocktail server, an extra drink ticket, and a swag bag full of New Year accessories. General admission tickets are priced at $40, with an upgrade of $20 for the VIP experience. There will also be a small fee added to the ticket price when you purchase online.

Looking for one of Nebraska’s best New Year’s Eve parties? The Granary is hosting the state’s third annual New Year’s Eve Bash and Midnight Ball Drop for those looking to live it up all night long and welcome the new year with 1,200 other partygoers! This is sure to be an unforgettable night, with a full lineup of entertainment throughout the night. Enjoy live music, great food, and a live outdoor ball drop with fireworks. The party is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM, so make plans now and get your group together.  The venue will feature three epic celebrations: a high-energy bash at Bushwackers, an exclusive VIP party in the Venues at The Granary, and a lively outdoor gathering on the Granary Green free of charge. This event is for 21 and up only, so parents can make plans to drop the kiddos off with their grandparents or hire a babysitter for the evening!

New Year’s Eve Comedy Trifecta

Where? 17305 Davenport Street

This ages 21 and up NYE event is perfect for those looking to say goodbye to 2024 with an evening of laughter. Doors open at 9:30 PM and the show kicks off at 10:00 PM. Tickets are priced at $45. The Funny Bone has a full bar and dinner menu available through your server when you’re seated in the showroom. There is a 2-item minimum purchase per person, which includes all beverages, food, and Funny Bone merchandise. Keep in mind that tables seat 4 people, so if your party has fewer than 4 tickets, you’ll be seated with other guests. This New Year’s Eve Comedy Trifecta Show will feature Alec Parent, Hanna Ljungholm, and Justin Leon. The 10:00 PM show will additionally include a champagne toast at midnight to welcome 2025.

Noon Year’s Eve

Where? 801 South 10th Street

The Noon Year’s Eve Celebration at the Durham Museum is open to children of all ages. This fun-packed bash will include live music from Dino O’Dell and the T-Rex All-Stars. Visitors will get the chance to enjoy special crafts and activities as well. Ring in the noon year in a handmade party hat while everyone enjoys the celebratory bubble wrap stomp and the spectacular balloon drop at noon in the Suzanne and Walter Scott Great Hall. This event has limited capacity, so advance tickets are strongly encouraged. If space allows, walk-up tickets will be available at the door. In addition to parking at the museum, there will be a lot at 7th and Leavenworth Street with free shuttle drop-off at the museum during the Noon Year’s Eve festivities.

Black & White Ball — New Year’s Eve 2024

Where? 141 North 9th Street

The Raw Nerve is hosting a 2024 Black & White Ball to ring in the new year! Rock in 2025 with dinner, dancing, and of course — dessert! The ball will be hosted at Graduate Lincoln as Raw Nerve celebrates 35 years of making music together. Dress in your best black and/or white attire and join the band for cocktails and champagne while you jam the night away with classic rock music. Reservations are required for this event with two ticket options available, such as the Dinner and Dance ticket or the Dessert and Dance ticket. If you opt for dinner, you’ll start the evening off with cocktails at the cash bar and appetizers followed by a gourmet dinner featuring beef and salmon at 8:00 PM. At midnight, enjoy a champagne toast and a midnight snack-sized hoagie sandwich buffet to round out the evening. If you don’t want to drive home, The Graduate Hotel is offering a special double occupancy room rate of $109.

New Year’s Eve at Anna’s Place

Where? 1802 Dodge Street

Join Anna’s Place for the ball drop while you partake in the special champagne cocktail menu for the evening. Doors open at 9:00 PM and the cocktail shenanigans are set to begin an hour later. Reservations include four champagne-themed cocktails and a toast to the new year. Dietary restrictions can be emailed ahead of time to info@annasplaceomaha.com. Guests are asked to refrain from pregaming, as the venue reserves the right to deny entry to anybody arriving intoxicated. Light snacks will be available, though dinner is encouraged before you arrive. Tickets are nonrefundable and are priced at $75. Guests must be 21 and up.

Bubbly New Year’s Eve

Where? 500 South 20th Street

Want to get the kiddos involved with the fun this New Year’s Eve? Check out the Bubbly New Year’s event at the Omaha Children’s Museum. Celebrate the festivities as you put on some swag at this mesmerizing bubble show. Participants will enjoy NYE-themed crafts, characters, and bubble drops throughout the day. There’s no need to stay up past midnight when you can have all the NYE fun during the day! There will be countdowns every hour, complete with a song and bubbles to celebrate 2025. All activities are included with admission while supplies last. Admission is free for members and children under 24 months old. Regular admission prices are set at $16 for adults and children and $15 for seniors.

New Year’s Eve Masquerade

Where? 4879 South 132nd Avenue, Suite B

Celebrate the New Year at the NYE Masquerade at JL Studios from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Surround yourself with art, music, and the magic of winter this holiday as you enter into the captivating Enchanted Winter Nights exhibit. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover Jasmine Lillian’s newest works evoking the beauty and mystery of frosty realms. Masquerade attire is encouraged, so embrace the elegance of the evening with winter-inspired masks and clothing. There will be a live DJ starting at 11:00 PM and seasonal cocktails that are handcrafted to order. Stay up for the midnight toast to welcome the new year before you continue to jam out to music and embrace the festivities until 2:00 AM. Covers are priced at $10 to support the talented DJs and the age requirement is set at 21 and up.

Timekiller: A New Year’s Eve Celebration

Where? 1901 Harney Street

Get ready to stay up all night with DJ Barrens, DJ Sado_Naut, and all of the finest and stompiest industrial music at The Verdict Bar & Grill this NYE. From 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM, you can rock out and dance with your friends while you get ready to say hello to 2025. There will be a champagne toast at midnight and tickets are priced at $5. Everyone is invited — so reach out to your friends, family, and neighbors to kick the party off this New Year’s Eve.

New Year’s Eve at The Orleans Room

Where? 302 South 36th Street

There’s no better way to spend New Year’s Eve than at The Orleans Room at The Cottonwood Hotel. From 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM this NYE, enjoy showcasing your best moves on the dance floor while you listen to live music, indulge in light bites, and celebrate the milestone with a champagne toast at midnight. Ring in the New Year in style and with plenty of sparkle. Tickets are priced at $75, with both reserved and general admission options available. If you’re not spending the night at the hotel, make sure you secure a safe ride home or designate a driver within your party if you plan to imbibe wine and cocktails throughout the duration of the night.

New Year’s Eve at Slowdown

Where? 729 North 14th Street

Come check out the NYE Festivities at Slowdown. This is a 21 and up event and an ID is required for entrance. Doors open at 8:00 PM and admission is priced at $20 through December 30th. The show increases to $30 on the day of and there are limited VIP options for $80. The VIP tickets include a private bar with 1-cent drinks all night long — including premium wells, canned beer/seltzer options, champagne, the house shot, and house red and white wine, as well as balcony access and light snacks from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Get ready to dance the night away at one of Omaha’s best New Year’s Eve parties. DJs Crabrangucci and Tyrone Storm + Coco will be mixing the beats. At midnight, knock back the champagne toast and keep the good vibes going.

New Year’s Eve at Bar 415
