The Riverfront 4th of July Celebration Ft. The Omaha Symphony

Celebrate Independence Day in style at The RiverFront’s Fourth of July Celebration featuring the Omaha Symphony! This free, family-friendly event begins at 8:30 p.m. with a live performance by the Omaha Symphony, showcasing patriotic favorites like “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “America the Beautiful,” and “Stars and Stripes Forever.” 

The evening culminates in a spectacular fireworks display around 10 p.m., synchronized with the symphony’s live music. Heartland Pride 2025

Where? Various locations across Omaha.
When? July 11th & 12th

Heartland Pride 2025 is set to be a vibrant celebration of love, diversity, and unity in Omaha. Spanning two days, the festivities kick off on Friday, July 11th, with Heartland Youth Pride at the CHI Health Center from 5 to 10 p.m. The event’s focus is on empowering LGBTQ+ youth and fostering an inclusive future.

The celebration continues on Saturday, July 12th, with the Heartland Pride Parade starting at 9:30 a.m. along Capitol Avenue in downtown Omaha and NP Dodge is proud to be participating! Join us as we march alongside other community organizations in support of equality, visibility, and love for all. 🌈

After the parade, the party continues back at the CHI Health Center for Heartland Pride Festival, which takes place from 12:30 to 10 p.m. It promises to be a day filled with live entertainment, community engagement, and a powerful sense of belonging.

Nebraska Crossroads Music Festival

Where? Various venues across Omaha & Lincoln
When? July 20th-August 2nd

The Nebraska Crossroads Music Festival returns this summer with a dynamic lineup of free events celebrating global music, poetry, and cultural exchange. From July 20th to August 2nd, venues across Omaha and Lincoln will host performances ranging from Arabic jazz and Nordic folk to experimental soundscapes and slam poetry. Curated by Syrian clarinetist and composer Kinan Azmeh, the festival emphasizes community, creativity, and the power of artistic expression.

Highlights include the Lincoln Showcase at the Sheldon Sculpture Garden on July 26th and the Omaha Showcase at Gene Leahy Mall on July 27th – two lively nights of music and poetry under the stars. Family Day on July 20th in Lincoln and Art-Tastic Saturday on August 2nd in Omaha offer music, storytelling, and hands-on art for all ages. Other standout events include Dawn of Midi and Dinuk Wijeratne on July 29th, immersive electronic sets from Erdem Helvacioglu & Friends on July 30th and July 31st, and the genre-bending Cello Spectrum concert on July 31st. The Festival Orchestra closes the season with finales in Lincoln on August 1st and in Omaha on August 2nd.

Native Omaha Days Festival

Where? North Omaha, N 24th St & N 30th St
When? July 28th-August 4th

This summer, North Omaha will host the 25th biennial Native Omaha Days Festival, a cherished homecoming that celebrates the community’s rich African American heritage and enduring spirit. From July 28th to August 4th, the historic neighborhoods along North 24th and 30th Streets will come alive with a vibrant array of events, including parades, concerts, and cultural showcases.

The festivities commence with the iconic Homecoming Parade on Sunday, July 28th, at 10 a.m., featuring marching bands, floats, and community groups marching along North 30th Street. Throughout the week, attendees can enjoy over 30 events, like the Village Festival Square at 24th and Burdette with food trucks and local vendors, trolley tours, jazz and gospel concerts, and an African American book signing at the Great Plains Black History Museum

Blues Traveler & Gin Blossoms with Spin Doctors
