We’re so glad we celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday because that means two of our favorite things collide in one celebratory setting: brunch and moms. There are so many wonderful restaurants in and around Omaha that serve brunch year round, and even a few with special Mother’s Day brunch menus.
We’ve highlighted a handful of brunch spots in the area before and even the best places to get eggs benedict, but let’s delve a little deeper and examine those that will satisfy a wide variety of tastes and budgets, so you can show your mom just how much you appreciate her on May 14th!
Read these descriptions, peruse their brunch menus, then make your reservation. Remember: this is a popular day to be out and about — especially during brunch!

Bonefish Grill offers exceptional dishes featuring items from both the land and sea and their brunch menu is no exception. Pay special attention to their crème brûlée French toast with Grand Marnier liqueur and orange zest batter served with whipped cream, fresh mint, strawberries and bacon.

Head to Cantina Laredo for authentic Mexican cuisine with a modern twist in their inviting atmosphere right by Turner Park. Their brunch menu combines brunch favorites and classic Mexican dishes in an exciting way. If you don’t believe us, check out their Tostar de Francés — French toast topped with blueberries and strawberries served with maple syrup and Mexican brandy butter. And, each brunch menu item comes with a complimentary Mimosa or Bloody Maria!

Dario’s is a European-style cafe and bar serving beer, wine and simple hearty food in an informal and comfortable setting in Dundee. Their brunch menu takes on traditional French cuisine, featuring items such as the Parisian crepes or Terrine du Jour. Or you can opt for the Belgian Brunch, including your choice from their “Offres Speciales” plus Straffe Hendrick Quadrupel.

This quaint Council Bluffs eatery serves up delicious Southern fare with Cajun and Tex-Mex influences. The menu at Dixie Quicks changes daily (as reflected by their erasable chalkboard menu on the wall) so you know every ingredient on your plate is as fresh as it gets. Dixie Quicks is known for their exceptional brunch menu, where you’ll find the infamous Dixie Scramble alongside comforting Biscuits and Gravy. Once you see the line out the door and taste their delicious food, you’ll understand the hype!

First Watch specializes in breakfast, brunch and lunch so you know you’re in good hands if you stop by for Mother’s Day! Choose from their delectable egg-centric offerings and griddle goodness, and enjoy fresh coffee from a pitcher.

Enjoy slow food made fast with seasonal ingredients from local farmers and producers at Kitchen Table. Order the 1-2-3 Sunday for just $15, where you pair a grilled levain with two sides, including options such as a salted caramel streusel cinnamon pecan roll and a fried egg sandwich.

Lauritzen Gardens is offering their annual Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, but it has already sold out for 2017! If you got your tickets, you’ll get to eat a delectable meal catered by Abraham Catering amongst the beauty of the gardens. Visit their event page for information about the food items offered.
If you missed your chance this year, you can still enjoy a walk through the gardens between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. We suggest stopping by after brunch at any one of these other Omaha destinations. After all, gardens are the perfect way to celebrate mom!

While Over Easy might not have a separate “brunch” menu, it was named as the best place to have Easter brunch in all of Nebraska by Elle Decor! Draw from their breakfast or lunch menu, depending on what you’re feeling and prepare to be impressed this Mother’s Day.

Visit one of Le Peep’s three locations for your Mother’s Day brunch, selecting from their jam-packed menu that reads like a cookbook. You can’t go wrong with any of their breakfast options — from their crepes to their benedicts and everything in between.

As can be inferred from their name, LOCAL Beer, Patio and Kitchen is all about being local. Coincidentally, so are we! We adore LOCAL’s industrial and modern interior just as much as we love their menus. In addition to their regular menu, LOCAL offers several breakfast items, including a breakfast sandwich (egg, white cheddar, spinach, and bacon on sourdough), beer-braised pulled pork sandwich (beer cheese and a fried egg on a brioche bun) or Dad’s Breakfast (two eggs, two strips bacon, two slices toast and tater tots).

Lot 2 is an upscale restaurant and wine bar in the historic Benson neighborhood with an exceptional brunch menu. Order their famous L2 Eggs Benny or indulge in a plate of chicken and waffles; every option on the menu will convince you to come back again next weekend!

Louie’s Wine Dive sure knows their wines, but they also know how to serve an exceptional brunch. In their Eggcellent section, you’ll find quiches, omelets and benedicts alongside a few enticing Morning Dive plates with sweet and savory options. Mantra Bar and Grille has thrived in the Benson neighborhood since they opened their doors in 2010. Their delicious dishes fuse the traditional with the unique and have kept the neighborhood hooked on upscale bar food. That includes their brunch menu available every Saturday and Sunday! With plenty of egg dishes, sandwiches, non-egg dishes, salads, desserts and drink specials, mom (and the whole family) will love everything at Mantra.
